Google today rolled out a nice new Gboard update for iPhone, adding the ability to send drawings, Google Maps, and YouTube videos. The additions make the best third-party keyboard on iOS even better.

I’m not a huge fan of third-party iPhone keyboards. I feel like they’re not as good as the default iOS keyboard thanks to Apple’s limitations. But Gboard is the exception. It works great, and it’s packed full of awesome features that make sharing content even easier.

The latest update brings the ability to search for and send Google Maps and YouTube videos from right within Gboard. You don’t have to leave your conversation to find what you’re looking for; simple tap the Google button, search, and send.

If you’re feeling creative, you can now create and send doodles, too. Start by tapping the emoji button and then the pen icon to get to the drawing interface. Create your masterpiece using the selection of colored pens available, than tap the Share button to send it.

Gboard is available for free from the App Store, and you can download the latest version now. If you’re new to it, be sure to check out our post on 10 things you should know about Gboard.
