Tired of the same old boring wallpaper on your shiny new iPhone 6s or 6s Plus?

You can now grab a cool app that will let you put one of up to 40 different animated images on your iPhone lock screen that you can animate with 3D Touch.

Here’s how to make it happen.

Head on over to the App Store on your iPhone or your Mac and download Nick Lauer’s fantastic little $0.99 app, Live Wallpapers – Custom Backgrounds and Themes. Download it directly to your iOS device, or sync it up via iTunes.

Once you’ve got the app on your iPhone, launch it with a tap. When you do so, you’ll see a gorgeous screen of fall leaves. Swipe left to find more images; you can tap each one to preview the animation. Once you’re ready to choose one, tap on the Save button.

permissionsYou’ll need to give the app permission to access your Photos, and once you do, the animated photo will move to your Camera Roll.

Next, head to your Settings app, swipe down to Wallpaper, and tap on Choose a New Wallpaper. Tap on the Photos thumbnail, then select the live wallpaper you just saved in the step above. Choose the Live Photo option at the bottom, then tap on Set. You’ll then need to confirm that you want to set the Lock Screen.

Now, get to your Lock Screen by pressing the Sleep/Wake button once, then the Home button. Press on the screen with 3D Touch and your new live wallpaper will animate nicely, just like the ones that come with the iPhone.
