Hey, Siri: Play a fart sound

If you’ve got the future strapped to your wrist and an iPhone paired with said Apple Watch, you can prank your friends with the lowest form of humor imaginable: the fart sound.

You’ll also need Apple Music, as this trick relies on the sound effect albums therein.

Here’s how to fart at your friends without actually soiling your own shorts.

Because we can.

Unlock your iPhone and set it next to your friend. You can head into an adjacent room for this to make sure it’s even funnier.

Assuming your Apple Watch is paired and you have an Apple Music subscription, press and hold the Digital Crown on your Watch or raise your wrist and say, “Hey Siri” to invoke Apple’s personal assistant, and then say, “Play a fart sound.”

Your Apple Watch will relay this command to your iPhone, which will then search Apple Music for the fart sound effect, and play it over your iPhone’s speakers.

Once you’ve done this, you can then just use the Music Glance on your Watch to continually start and stop the fart sound. Imagine the hilarious opportunities here.

Sure, it also works with “running river” or “fireworks” and even “crackling fire sounds.” You can even ask Siri to play Star Trek sound effects, you nerd. Honestly, though, it’s the sound of flatulence that makes this trick super hilarious.
