Ever think your mobile game high score was Guinness World Record worthy? Well, starting today it just might be. Although arcade and console game high scores have long been recognized by the Guinness World Records, mobile gamers have been left with screenshots, Facebook shares, and tweets as their only method of grandstanding.

Guinness is looking to give mobile gamers their opportunity to shine, and in honor of this weekend’s Top Mobile Gamer Challenge, anyone who play “Mega Jump,” “Slam Dunk Basketball” and “Monster Shooter,” — available on iOS and Android — will have their high scores uploaded via Klip, with the overall highest scores for each game becoming eligible for a Guinness record.

Winners will have ultimate bragging rights when their names are listed in the January edition of the Guinness World Records 2013 Gamers Edition, and will also receive certificates from Guinness officially recognizing their feats (which they will then of course frame).

Well there you go, you mobile gaming maniacs now have an outlet to shine. Wipe off those smudgy touchscreens and get those fingers swiping.
