What's up guys, Stephen Cult of Mac here, back with another great quick tips video
0:06
and in this one I am going to show you how to create awesome long exposure style photos
0:10
on your iPhone with just the camera app. Let's throw 60 seconds on the clock and get started
0:16
For this to work, you're going to need an iPhone running iOS 11 or newer, and something
0:20
in motion to take a photo of. Open the camera app and use something to lean on to keep your hand steady
0:25
Keeping the camera steady is vital to get decent results, otherwise you'll just end up with a completely blurry image
0:31
Then make sure live photos is enabled and start snapping away. Cars are a good subject to take photos of, as well as lights or running fountains, basically
0:39
anything with plenty of motion. Once you've taken your photo, swipe up to reveal the live photo effects
0:45
You'll see the usual loop, bounce and live, but the last one is an option for long exposure
0:50
While it's not a real live exposure effect, it gets pretty impressive results by stitching
0:53
together all of the photos taken during the live photo. Some subjects work better than others and there are apps to get a more convincing result

But it's a great quick and easy way to pull more out of your iPhone camera
