What's going on everybody, Ian here for Cult of Mac
0:07
And does your business require smartphones, tablets, or computers for your workers to
0:11
get things done? And do you wish you had an easier way to control what those devices could do when your workers
0:16
were actually out working? And most importantly, do you wish it would be really easy for you to manage those devices
0:22
without an entire team of IT people setting up security policies and rules and locking
0:27
down devices and setting up new devices and things like that? If you answered yes to any of those questions, ScaleFusion might have a solution for you
0:35
ScaleFusion is a mobile device management or MDM platform that allows you to quickly and easily set up and manage a fleet of devices across your business
0:42
Whether you have specific security policies you want to apply to your customers' devices
0:46
or you want to limit those field devices you have your workers out using down to a certain
0:50
set of apps, ScaleFusion makes it quick and easy, in fact dead simple, to manage those devices
0:56
With ScaleFusion you get two distinct modes for setting up devices. The first of which is supervised or kiosk mode, which allows you to fully lock down
1:03
the apps and features that the device has, whether it's a phone or a computer, so only
1:07
certain apps or websites can be visited and certain features work on the device
1:11
The second mode is unsupervised or the bring your own device mode, which allows you to
1:15
set certain policies on customer-owned computers, iPads, iPhones, Android devices, or Windows
1:20
computers to manage the things that are on those devices to make sure that your business
1:24
data stays secure. Most impressive to me is that regardless of whether you're dealing with iOS devices, Macs
1:31
Windows computers, or Android devices, ScaleFusion makes it super easy and super straightforward
1:35
to set up those policies, make those adjustments, and keep those devices and your company's
1:39
data secure. Let's take a look at a really quick example. So here I have a profile that I set up the other day
1:45
Within this profile I have a set of apps that I've allowed for my team, and that includes
1:48
things like Slack for keeping in touch with one another, but maybe I want to also enable
1:52
things like Word or Office so they can get to those company-based files. I could also turn on something like Dashlane so our entire team can have those secured
1:59
notes or shared credentials across a multitude of different services. Now on the next tab I can also select specific browser shortcuts that I want set up on the device
2:09
Now this could be a company intranet, a web-based CRM, or any site that I want those devices
2:13
to be able to access. Next up is company-specific branding, and this allows you to set things like the wallpaper
2:19
or lock screen on a device, or even set a message on the lock screen to let the employee
2:23
know that, hey, this is a managed device, or if the device goes missing and somebody
2:28
else finds it, they know that this is a company device. You can have emergency contact information or something like that show up right on the
2:33
lock screen. Final tab here contains a huge selection of restrictions, and this is where you can get
2:39
really into the weeds on how you want these devices locked down and how you want to secure
2:43
your company's data. You can do things on supervised or unsupervised devices here, depending on what's enrolled
2:49
in your MDM. For an unsupervised device, for example, you can't block the web entirely, but if it's
2:54
supervised device, you can actually lock it down to only visit sites that you've pre-approved
2:58
There you can also disable features like iCloud backup or iCloud keychain syncing, or grant
3:05
permissions for the user to install outside of the App Store enterprise apps if that's
3:09
something you want. There are also a few device-specific settings here, like the ability to enable or disable
3:15
the camera, as well as disabling or enabling screenshots or forcing encrypted backups
3:19
and things that can really help secure the information, secure your workspace on these devices
3:25
Once all the settings are configured, you just update the profile, and within a few minutes, all the devices that are enrolled in this security profile get those updated
3:32
configurations sent directly to them. As you can see, ScaleFusion is a super simple way to manage your mobile device needs
3:39
Getting it just $2 per device is both a quick and affordable way to get your team up and running
