hi i'm joshua smith and welcome to
0:02
another culture mac app review now
0:04
doodle jump is one of the very first ios
0:06
games that i can remember truly becoming
0:08
addicted to it's simple controls and
0:10
challenging gameplay left me hopping
0:12
from platform to platform and shooting
0:13
monsters with balls for hours and now
0:16
the very same developers have returned
0:17
with another doodle jump game called
0:19
doodle jump race so you know i had to
0:21
give it a go and today i'm bringing you
0:23
an inside look at the app so stay tuned
0:31
the same doodle we all know and love has
0:33
returned in a new form in the new app
0:35
doodle jump race where users play
0:37
head-to-head and online races with other
0:39
doodles now when i first launched the
0:41
app i immediately noticed the app looked
0:42
a little bland compared to other apps
0:44
out nowadays but either way i had to
0:46
ignore that and focus on the race by
0:48
tapping you make your dual jump let go
0:50
and he falls you can track your progress
0:52
at the top of the screen as well as keep
0:54
an eye on where other players are as
0:55
well just make your way through these
0:57
familiar barnacle looking things and
0:59
reach the finish line as fast as
1:00
possible and yeah well that's it your
1:04
place time and score are then shown for
1:07
this was definitely not the type of
1:09
gameplay i was expecting but i can't
1:11
exactly say it was all bad when playing
1:14
i just kind of felt like it was a rushed
1:15
version of flappy bird without deaths
1:17
and a finish line and essentially that's
1:20
really what doodle jump race is except
1:22
with doodles and that's why overall at
1:24
the end of the day i've got to give
1:26
doodle jump race 2 out of 5 stars i will
1:29
say the first few times it can be pretty
1:30
fun racing against the competition but
1:32
that only happens after having to wait
1:34
for what seems like forever for other
1:36
players to play with the obstacles do
1:38
make it challenging at first but the
1:40
game doesn't change from there it feels
1:42
like there's room to make this game
1:43
truly something special and hopefully
1:45
we'll get that update soon and i'll be
1:47
welcoming it with open arms
1:52
doodle jump race is available in the app
1:54
store for all ios devices for absolutely
1:56
free and until next time feel free to
1:58
comment or tweet at us what you think
1:59
about the game did you enjoy it or what
2:01
do you think they need to add to make it
2:03
better let us know and don't forget to
2:05
