hey everyone today I'm going to show you
0:07
how you can set up an iTunes account
0:09
without having to put in any credit card
0:10
information so that you don't have to
0:12
have that link to it and you don't run
0:14
the risk of running up your credit card
0:16
bills with it so first you're obviously
0:19
going to need to open iTunes now you can
0:21
search for this in Spotlight if you
0:22
wanted to and open it from there but I
0:26
have it open right here and you're going
0:28
to want to on the left side barar just
0:30
click on iTunes store and this will come
0:33
up on the iTunes Store now if you
0:36
already have a iTunes account you're
0:39
going to need to go up to the store Tab
0:41
and you'll click the sign out button
0:44
that'll be here uh you need to be signed
0:46
out in order to do this and normally if
0:49
you click create account in the store
0:51
menu you're going to see this window
0:54
popup and it says you know you have to
0:57
get your Apple
0:58
ID so you click
1:01
continue and then agree to the terms and
1:04
conditions and then when you have to um
1:08
fill out your information I'm just going
1:09
to enter some random stuff
1:14
here then you're going to see this
1:16
choose payment method screen and it's
1:18
going to require you to either attach a
1:21
credit card to it or a PayPal account
1:24
now let's say you have a account and
1:26
you're setting it up for your kid or
1:28
something like that or maybe just for
1:29
yourself and you don't really want to
1:30
link a credit card to it know in case
1:32
you accidentally buy something you
1:33
didn't want to or maybe you just like
1:36
using iTunes gift cards which is what I
1:37
do with my account um you don't have to
1:40
enter any credit card information and
1:42
Link it to any account so what you can
1:44
do is you can just go back to the iTunes
1:47
homepage which is what you'll see when
1:48
you click on iTunes store and from here
1:51
you're just going to find an app so I'm
1:54
going to click on the App Store tab at
1:56
the top here and you're going to look
1:59
for apps now you have to find a free app
2:02
that you know is
2:04
free so I'll choose free apps and let's
2:08
just choose the top free app here which
2:10
is Office Jerk um it's kind of like a
2:13
fun app actually so what you're going to
2:15
do is you're going to click on free
2:17
app and what it's going to do here is
2:20
it's going to bring up this sign in to
2:22
download from the iTunes Store so you're
2:24
going to click from here create new
2:28
account now
2:30
when you set up set this up you're going
2:33
to see the same things and I'll just
2:35
enter some fake information
2:41
here now when you go to the next screen
2:43
you're going to see this option here
2:44
under credit card and it says None So
2:47
you select none now you don't have to
2:49
put in any credit card information you
2:50
don't have to link it up with anything
2:52
now there'll be absolutely no chance of
2:55
you getting charges on your credit card
2:57
if you accidentally download something
2:58
or if you have a kid and you don't
3:00
really trust them with your your credit
3:02
card on the line and they could
3:03
potentially buy thousands of dollars
3:05
worth of apps or something like that and
3:07
then you can enter iTunes gift cards or
3:10
things like that and only have to aot
3:13
them a certain amount of money through
3:15
that and it's a very nice way to do
3:17
things it's a little bit of a workaround
3:19
a little bit of a loophole I guess to um
3:21
set up a credit card to set up an iTunes
3:24
account without a credit card and that's
3:26
really all there is to it then you just
3:27
continue on and you have a fully
3:30
featured iTunes Apple
3:33
ID and uh you can use it you know to
3:36
download music download apps anything
3:38
that you would normally do provided that
3:40
you have a iTunes gift card entered in
3:42
there and it works just like any other
3:45
account and this is personally what I
3:47
use cuz I only use iTunes gift cards I
3:50
tend to get quite a few of those so
3:52
that's pretty much all there is to it
3:55
and it's as simple as that but it's a
3:56
little handy tip that not a lot of
3:58
people know about so so I hope you found
4:00
this video useful thank you for watching
