0:00
good evening in this video I'm going to
0:01
run through all of the most interesting
0:03
apps games and experiences that I have
0:05
found in my week and a half or so with
0:07
the Vision Pro so if you can't afford it
0:10
or if it isn't available in your country
0:11
yet you can live vicariously through me
0:14
as I show you all of the most
0:16
interesting stuff that I have
0:19
found I'm once again in my unusually
0:22
large living room it looks kind of a
0:24
normal from this angle but from here you
0:26
can see I just have a big empty void
0:29
I've never really known how to fill that
0:31
space But since I got the Vision Pro
0:33
it's been a pretty good area to try out
0:36
AR apps and so this is where I'm going
0:38
to be demoing all these things today
0:39
launch the apps here and we'll start
0:42
with what I think is one of the most
0:44
interesting uses of AR what the gulf
0:47
this creates what's called a volume so I
0:49
still have a window Grabber there that I
0:51
can pinch and bring up close to me but
0:54
this isn't you know a rectangular window
0:57
shaped window it's a 3 object that I can
1:01
interact with and if you're familiar
1:02
with the game with the golf it works
1:05
pretty similar you pinch pull
1:08
back and there you go I'll replay a few
1:12
levels just to show you what it's all
1:13
about so as you can see this isn't your
1:15
standard issue golfing game it's sort of
1:17
a silly take on
1:20
it there
1:22
clubs I've played this on the iPhone on
1:25
the Apple TV and they've taken the
1:28
graphics from the game
1:30
and made them like real 3D objects which
1:34
is just crazy the gesture detection
1:37
isn't as perfect as you know playing it
1:39
on an iPhone you know this is not a
1:42
Precision gaming experience but it is a
1:45
brand new gaming experience just like
1:47
playing the Nintendo Wii so that's
1:49
enough of that let's move on to another
1:51
game that I've tried super fruit ninja
1:54
so you know you're all familiar with the
1:55
game Fruit Ninja super fruit ninja has
1:59
similarly been totally reimagined so as
2:01
you can see it's placing objects in my
2:03
environment there's a weird old man
2:06
standing in front of the camera and a
2:08
pig that's sort of just wandering around
2:11
and we slice with our whole hand to
2:15
begin portal opens up we've got all of
2:18
these different game modes I'm going to
2:20
play Zen because it's the one that's
2:23
directly in front of
2:28
me
2:31
wh that wasn't very good the hand
2:34
detection isn't perfect which can kind
2:37
of be a deal breaker for a game like
2:39
this but it is an apple arcade it's you
2:41
know free to play with an apple arcade
2:44
subscription what a thrilling time to be
2:47
alive oh a pig hello here's another
2:52
really cool use of AR that I found this
2:55
is Game Room places this 3D table
2:57
floating in my environment with a stack
3:00
of board games here we're just going to
3:02
start a round of hearts and again these
3:05
cards are all in full 3d it's it's
3:07
really
3:08
crazy how this looks I just tap and look
3:11
with my
3:12
eyes to move these things
3:14
around so with any of these apps I can
3:17
dial in Apple's built-in fake 3D
3:21
environment you know now I'm not in my
3:22
living room I'm in Mount Hood and you
3:25
can really see how the lighting changes
3:28
it adapts to the environment it becom
3:29
comes much more blue and much more
3:31
bright then I'm back in my dingy living
3:33
room but this game also has its own
3:35
environment suddenly I'm in this
3:37
imaginary Library I can see all of these
3:40
books around me and other board games a
3:43
chess board over there and not really
3:46
sure what kind of game leads to only
3:49
those black pieces being on the board
3:51
but if I look around I can still see
3:53
areas of my environment like the table
3:54
next to me there's the wall I can see
3:57
the rug on the real floor but I can play
4:00
the game in this more immersive space if
4:04
I prefer so I'm definitely going to pick
4:05
this game up later but for now I'm going
4:08
to go back to the home
4:12
screen here's another game I actually
4:15
haven't played it yet but it looks
4:17
pretty interesting called void X this is
4:19
sort of a vintage bullet dodging game it
4:23
places all these 3D elements in your
4:26
real space in addition to having a
4:28
little window here kind of a Galaga
4:31
style shooting game here avoid those
4:34
bullets still got to place some shots
4:37
presume there's a heart need that looks
4:41
like I'm getting kind of low on those
4:44
these 3D Pixel effects are really cool
4:46
those bursts are like fireworks in my in
4:49
my space here so that is void x a fun
4:51
little arcade game I'm definitely going
4:53
to be playing that again now let's play
4:55
a more immersive game Jetpack Joy Ride 2
4:59
there's another remake of a classic iOS
5:00
game and this puts me in a really
5:02
immersive environment so I'm going to
5:05
start with the game here the kind of
5:07
iPhone games where the whole screen is
5:09
just one simple button where you just
5:11
tap the screen to interact translates
5:13
very well because instead of tapping the
5:15
screen you're just pinching your
5:17
fingers I don't entirely understand
5:20
what's happening here but that's roughly
5:23
how it works and I'm not plagued with
5:25
looking at the world around me I'm in
5:27
this fake laboratory that's in the style
5:30
of the game NE thing about this
5:32
environment though is you can just kind
5:33
of look and tap around at a bunch of
5:36
stuff those little Newton's Cradle over
5:39
there oh sorry guy little TV you can
5:42
turn on and
5:43
off punching
5:45
bag oh some snacks in the fridge a
5:49
little thing up
5:52
there oh we can do that and tap those
5:59
things
6:00
Pour Some Water got to stay hydrated
6:04
$3,499 for this experience just keep
6:07
that in mind so let's move on to some
6:09
other experiences if you're a space nerd
6:12
like me this one is really cool it
6:14
places the Mars perseverance Rover in
6:18
your living room and you can scale it up
6:22
I'm going to dial it all the way up to a
6:23
full size and this thing is just room
6:27
filling huge it's so cool and I know for
6:31
you at home it's not the same watching
6:33
me do this or watching it through a 2d
6:35
screen but like if you can stand up hold
6:38
your arm out in front of you and like I
6:41
have to look like I have to look up
6:42
that's how big this thing is and I can
6:45
just walk all the way around it probably
6:48
going off screen but this is just so
6:51
cool here's another interactive AR
6:54
experience called jigspace this placees
6:57
interactive 3D models in your real
7:00
environment so you know the neat one is
7:02
of course a jet turbine tap to place it
7:05
here you can throw pieces off of it I
7:07
can walk through the interactive ones
7:09
and at each stage I can just take pieces
7:12
off throw them away take off this piece
7:15
spin it around look at this little nose
7:17
cone guy hypnotize yourself with it I
7:21
mean look at that that looks like a
7:24
real piece of spinning metal throw
7:27
Formula 1 car in the middle of the room
7:29
me me me get a close look at that
7:33
steering
7:34
wheel that's cool the screen is even
7:37
reflective and I can annotate this as
7:39
well draw 3D on it if I just want to so
7:42
I can just
7:43
graffiti on the car
7:46
[Music]
7:49
here what's that question
7:52
mark this app is almost worth it just
7:54
for that you can use this for training
7:57
assembly of stuff demos marketing
8:00
another one here for the space nerds
8:03
space vision and right away it's
8:05
throwing me into a model of the solar
8:07
system this this isn't really to scale
8:10
you know the you know the Earth isn't
8:12
nearly that big especially compared to
8:14
the Sun and you can see the moon is
8:17
touching the Earth that would be a
8:20
pretty big problem if that was actually
8:22
the case but we see all the orbits here
8:25
all the planets Mercury Venus Earth Mars
8:31
and whoa way out there is Jupiter can I
8:34
stand on the
8:36
couch I mean look at that that's cool so
8:40
we'll turn off scaling objects turn off
8:42
scaling orbits and now you can see
8:45
there's the
8:46
sun that's how far away Mercury is and
8:49
it's just a DOT like space is
8:53
big man now if we want to fill this
8:56
empty void here we can try Lowe's styles
8:59
Studio I've always wanted a second
9:01
kitchen directly around the corner from
9:03
my first one so I'll explore this
9:07
collection you can customize everything
9:09
in this kitchen change these chairs
9:13
around
9:14
yes
9:18
plants apples not green apples though
9:21
those are horrible definitely New York
9:25
Subway
9:26
ceramic um slab
9:30
got to love a good
9:32
slab want this guy to match my
9:36
slab I can save this to my board well we
9:39
I've shown you a lot of games how about
9:42
an app to track your games is called
9:45
game track very fittingly in my library
9:48
I can organize them into a wish list
9:51
cued games games I've already completed
9:55
I can organize them by platform I can
9:58
look at what's popular what other people
10:00
are playing Counter-Strike 2 I've heard
10:02
of that one so that's game track it of
10:05
course wouldn't be a new Apple platform
10:07
without peal by James Thompson and this
10:10
is an app that I really like to just
10:12
bring close to me and just punch out in
10:14
the air you know throw numbers around 45
10:18
[Music]
10:21
time there we go did you know that
10:25
probably not few other productivity apps
10:27
subjects if you are a student and a dorm
10:31
I don't know what kind of student will
10:33
be able to afford an apple Vision Pro
10:35
but I can bring up a schedule here this
10:37
is a pre-populated one each of these I
10:40
can tap and it's like you know a little
10:42
calendar it can populate my actual
10:44
iCloud Calendar if I want it to I can
10:46
look at my homework as well that is
10:49
clearly not my actual GPA you know it's
10:52
really easy to add a subject as well CS
10:57
4560 that's
10:59
green to me I can add a
11:02
timetable location add it in right
11:06
there now it's on my timetable Apple has
11:09
some productivity apps as well I'm going
11:11
to show you keynote just grab your
11:13
keyboard if you want to start some work
11:15
this is a presentation I've been working
11:17
on how to become a cult leader as you
11:19
can see 108 more slides to add before
11:22
it's really finished but I'll show you
11:23
what it's like adding another one
11:25
here add another one of the these slides
11:30
double tap to edit I'm going to call it
11:32
build an
11:35
elaborate Mansion so I'm just going to
11:37
go to Safari here bring up some stock
11:40
photos
11:41
of a mansion what
11:44
looks sufficiently cult leader
11:48
billionaire I like the looks of that
11:50
castle division pro has a full file
11:52
browser so I can download attachments
11:55
and open them up here
11:57
and there we go and this has a lot of
12:00
the full features of the real keynote
12:03
app I have all the formatting options
12:05
for
12:06
styling editing the image I can add
12:09
tables graphs I can animate things I can
12:12
duplicate them I have cut copy paste
12:15
undo and redo but here's the real killer
12:18
feature CU I can rehearse this as well
12:21
in a conference room or a theater
12:23
setting and this is what I would see if
12:25
I were giving my presentation you know I
12:27
can I'm on a stage I've got the
12:31
slideshow on a projector behind me I can
12:33
see my current slide and my next slide a
12:36
giant sprawling audience and just like
12:39
real life nobody is attending I've got a
12:42
little timer there tap to go forwards
12:45
tap to go back and to show so I can
12:48
switch to this conference room
12:49
environment very similar you know I've
12:51
got little room around me big windows
12:54
screen behind me and I can confirm from
12:58
going to WDC this is pretty much what
13:00
Apple conference rooms look like so
13:02
that's a general run through of all the
13:04
neatest stuff you can try on a Vision
