New AirPods Pro 2: Everything You Need to Know!

Yep, this is a new version of AirPods Pro 2. I say it's a new version of AirPods Pro 2 because

they did not come out with AirPods Pro 3. This is a revision of the existing model and they didn't

change the number even though there's a few new things. It has the USB-C charging case

an improved dust resistance, and if you pair it with Apple Vision Pro you get lossless audio

apparently. I don't think anybody has like confirmed with Apple that you don't get that

if you still have AirPods Pro 2 with a lightning case. So I don't know if they actually made

you know, changes to the buds themselves like that. I actually saw that, uh, you won't believe

it, uh, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg said that he is, Apple has confirmed to him that it does not

work. Yeah, okay. Which, which is like, you know, did they make some little tweak? They must have

made some kind of hardware tweak. Yeah, so just to reiterate for those of you who didn't catch it, so

the AirPods Pro 2, the newer version, are, they obviously have the USB-C capability in the case

but they're the only ones that will give you lossless audio with the Apple Vision Pro

The previous AirPods Pro 2 with the lightning case do not do that according to Gurman

So if you're planning on getting the Vision Pro then, I mean, does it matter? I don't know. Are

you going to be able to tell that it's lossless? I don't know, man. 98% of people probably can't

tell, but if you're spending $3,500 on the Vision Pro, then you won't, it doesn't matter if you can

tell. You just need to know. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Anyways, um, unlike when Apple made the revision

to the original AirPods with the wireless charging case and made the wireless charging case, uh

backwards compatible and sold it on the online store separately. You can't do that this time

If you want the new USB-C charging case, you have to buy the whole set for $250, which is

kind of weird. Like what makes them incompatible with each other that way that they can't

sell the case separately? Well, that's an easy one. Apple's marketing department

Apple's marketing department made them incompatible. Apple's bean counting department. Yeah. They want to make sure that people have an ample, uh, motivation to buy the new..

This is just me. But is that going to work on it? Who cares that much about USB-C? They're

going to spend $250 just to get USB... Like, I don't think that would work

Well, I think that the upgrade here is so minimal, um, that a lot of people probably won't care

They would make more money if they made it backwards compatible because then they'd be selling the $69 charging case. I think eventually I would be surprised if eventually they did not

sell the case. They just don't sell it yet. Like in the next three months, I would, I wouldn't be

surprised if they just quietly released the updated case on their website. Cause it really

doesn't make that much of a difference or it doesn't make that much sense for them to not do

that. But that's a possibility I hadn't considered. Anyways, that's pretty much all there is to say

Okay. If you want to buy AirPods right now, it's a good time to buy AirPods

Well, I would wait. If you're going to buy AirPods, I would, I would wait till

November because at this point we're so close to Black Friday that you're going to start seeing deals galore, you know, in the next couple of months
