hi I'm Joshua Smith from cc.com well now
0:03
that Apple has officially announced iosa
0:05
at WWDC this week There's plenty for
0:08
users to look forward to this fall and
0:10
actually I was lucky enough to get my
0:11
hands on it early so today I'm going to
0:13
bring you guys an inside look at iosa
0:15
and my first impressions of the new user
0:17
interface so stay tuned to check it
0:23
out iosa is the coming generation of
0:26
Apple's mobile interface thriving off of
0:28
the design of seven but excelling higher
0:30
with new features or more well kind of
0:32
useless Spotlight in iOS 7 actually
0:35
becomes useful in iOS 8 simply swipe
0:37
down to start a search but instead of
0:39
just searching your device it searches
0:41
the web for all types of content similar
0:43
to the new OS 10 yoim Maps movie times
0:46
apps you don't have Spotlight is
0:48
actually something I want to use now
0:50
it's a quick way to access what you want
0:51
in fewer steps a welcome addition that
0:53
works well messaging also got quite the
0:56
enhancement too with almost Snapchat
0:57
like features now when creating a
0:59
message you can say whatever you want
1:01
and it's recorded then swipe to the left
1:04
to discard or up to S and begin
1:07
recording voice messages to share with
1:08
your friends and even videos a fun way
1:10
to say things quickly aside from just IM
1:12
message these can also be tapped to be
1:14
kept or else to expire over time but one
1:17
new thing I've really started to like is
1:18
the new keyboard enhancement it makes
1:20
typing faster and it Smart Suggestions
1:22
don't seem random but actually smart
1:24
overall I can't say Iowa State really
1:26
looks different but when using it it
1:28
feels different here and there there as
1:30
you go around you can notice slight
1:31
changes or slight additions like the
1:33
ability to pull down from push
1:34
notifications like messages to quickly
1:37
reply all right where you are no matter
1:39
what app you're in it's stuff like that
1:41
that used to bother me in iOS 7 and it's
1:43
remedied in iOS 8 another key stress
1:45
Apple made was on the photos app making
1:47
every photo in your iCloud photo library
1:49
accessible automatically across all
1:51
devices and giving users the ability to
1:54
edit their photos with more detail
1:55
easily there's plenty to discover and
1:58
you'd be surprised what you find a
1:59
definite improvement from the last
2:01
generation for sure and while Health was
2:03
the most rumored iOS 8 feature Apple
2:05
definitely delivered basically combining
2:08
all you love about every one of your
2:09
fitness apps and throwing it all into
2:11
one but the nice thing is they still
2:13
work well with your third party apps a
2:15
lot of new features even an enhanced
2:16
Siri joins the iOS 8 party it can even
2:19
tell you what song is playing
2:20
automatically while the beta version is
2:22
just the beginning it's going to be
2:24
exciting to see how they finally deliver
2:25
it all in the fall for everyone and you
