everybody aan Elijah Gadget Hunter here
0:09
with camac and my friend Andrew who is
0:11
holding a Bluetooth Fork yes ladies and
0:14
gentlemen a Bluetooth Fork we've seen it
0:16
all now and I have no idea what this
0:18
actually does so I'm going to be hearing
0:19
this for the first time Andrew what does
0:21
a Bluetooth Fork do let me show
0:23
everybody the fork here first so the
0:25
fork at its most basic is designed to
0:27
help you slow down how fast you eating
0:29
unfortunately as we all know the pace of
0:31
things have increased a little bit I'm
0:32
not that old but I certainly feel like
0:34
it's getting there food has definitely
0:36
been part of that uh and we're trying to
0:39
reduce it obviously some immediate
0:41
benefits from that is that reducing how
0:43
quickly you eat means in first instance
0:46
you're probably likely going to be
0:48
eating less if you eat less you're
0:49
likely going to lose weight if you also
0:51
eat less quickly your digestive system
0:54
is much less prone to get hurt meaning
0:56
that people suffering from gastric
0:57
reflux are also likely to benefit from
0:59
this so that's what it what it does how
1:02
it does it it will tell you when you
1:04
started eating when you finished eating
1:06
the number of fork servings that you've
1:08
had in the meal the duration of each the
1:10
average duration of each Fork serving
1:12
then where we once you have that so
1:14
currently the fork is set at a 10-second
1:17
interval uh so I'm just touching it here
1:20
now so does it start to vibrate sorry
1:22
correct okay so I touch it again now you
1:24
can see the light went on I had the
1:26
vibration this would be happening in
1:28
your mouth and basically it's telling
1:29
you if if you eaten uh in an interval if
1:32
you put food back in your mouth faster
1:34
than 10 seconds you're eating too
1:36
quickly so it's notifying you of saying
1:37
just slow down and eat slower now this
1:41
as I say this is just currently set at
1:42
10 seconds there's no reason that this
1:44
shouldn't be set at 30 seconds which
1:45
maybe would be your ideal Pace but let's
1:47
say you're starting today 10 seconds you
1:49
can program it yourself to say actually
1:52
progressively let's say over time next
1:54
week I'll be at 11 seconds and then at
1:56
12 seconds and so on so forth within 3
1:58
months you at 30 seconds so connect with
2:00
an app to show you all this data that
2:01
you're collecting right absolutely both
2:03
an app a a fully integrated website a
2:05
coaching program with it fully tail to
2:08
help you uh take control of how quickly
2:10
you're eating and when is this available
2:12
and how much uh we're hoping to we're
2:14
aiming for $99 uh crowdfunding platforms
2:17
within a month and uh hope to have it to
2:20
Market within 3 months after that so
2:22
maybe Kickstarter then uh Kickstarter in
2:24
the goog go whoever loves us the most uh
2:26
any possibility for this to shock you
2:28
when you've eaten too much uh no we
2:30
wouldn't like to be that aggressive this
2:32
is a kind of I think that's a missed
2:33
opportunity personally that's why it's
2:34
called a happy forg you know we want we
2:37
it's it has to be gentle okay well watch
2:39
out for the happy fork on Kickstarter or
2:41
Indiegogo thank you Andrew I don't know
2:43
if you know this but you've just been
2:45
Gadget hunted thank you very much
