hi I'm Joshua Smith and welcome to
0:02
another episode of cax news Roundup now
0:05
this past week was full of Great Tech
0:07
news but we've got you covered on what
0:08
you might have missed like iOS devices
0:10
held for ransom Apple's big beats
0:12
acquisition and even an Apple eyew Watch
0:15
well without further Ado let's go ahead
0:17
and get
0:20
[Music]
0:23
[Applause]
0:28
started
0:32
as Apple's developers conference WWDC is
0:35
just days ahead with news about the
0:37
newest version of the Mac OSX and of
0:39
course also iosa some of that news has
0:42
actually been reported ahead of time as
0:44
iosa is expected to become more of a
0:46
universal remote for the things in your
0:48
home making it a smart home while many
0:50
people control things like Nest
0:52
thermostats and say Hue Lights from
0:54
their third party apps Apple is looking
0:56
to culminate all these things and more
0:58
directly into one place in the new iOS
1:00
now this can add a whole new element to
1:02
the spectrum of control between your iOS
1:04
devices and your home and it should be
1:06
exciting to see how it all plays out
1:08
when the conference begins this coming
1:09
Monday June 2nd and more iOS hackings
1:12
continue as this week it was reported
1:14
that Australia has been the latest hit
1:16
where people are remotely locking
1:18
people's devices and not letting them go
1:20
until they're paid to do so Apple has
1:22
yet to comment on the issue but if
1:24
there's any tip we can offer is to make
1:25
sure you switch up those Apple ID
1:27
passwords and use Touch ID definitely a
1:30
scary thought our very own Luke dmell
1:32
has more on the hackings on cmc.com and
1:35
you can let us know what you think about
1:36
all of them in the comment section
1:38
below and pretty soon it looks like it's
1:41
going to be quite easy to talk to anyone
1:43
you want thanks to a new tool called
1:44
Skype translator the latest enhancement
1:46
for the hit video chat app Skype in
1:48
cooperation with Microsoft the tool is
1:50
supposed to translate live speech of any
1:52
language while in your chats English to
1:54
German Japanese to English it can handle
1:57
it all currently the new tool is only in
1:59
its early St pages and only supports a
2:01
few languages but is expected to be
2:02
pushed out in beta form by the end of
2:04
the year now this is something I'm sure
2:06
a lot of Apple Fans are looking forward
2:08
to or at least have won it for quite
2:09
some time just this week it was reported
2:12
that an apple analyst spent time in
2:13
Taiwan at Apple supply chain and
2:16
suggests that an Apple eyew Watch is on
2:17
the way rumors are rumors but could also
2:20
be true and if so you can expect to see
2:22
a more rounded watch face on this
2:24
Smartwatch similar to the Moto 360 I
2:27
personally wear a Pebble Smartwatch all
2:28
the time and a really waiting for Apple
2:30
to enter the Smartwatch Market but what
2:32
would you want from an Apple eyew Watch
2:34
let us know in the comment section it's
2:37
official it's official it's official
2:39
Apple seal the deal this week and
2:40
confirmed their acquisition by
2:42
purchasing the hit audio electronics
2:43
company Beats by Dre for 3 billion 2.6
2:47
billion in cash and 400 million in
2:49
stocks I'd say Jimmy iven and Dr Dre are
2:52
quite happy about now in this massive
2:54
acquisition and the new positions
2:55
working with Apple Apple CEO Tim Cook
2:58
stated that the two are guys with very
3:00
rare skills and I must say I'm
3:02
interested to see where Apple goes with
3:03
this just a day after the big
3:05
announcements Beats by Dre updated their
3:07
catalog with a new version of one of the
3:09
most popular models in the form of the
3:10
solo twos and Buster hind has more on
3:13
the acquisition and more on you know it
3:15
cc.com and last but not least more
3:18
leaked images of the iPhone 6 definitely
3:20
suggest something we haven't quite
3:21
thought of yet an Australian iPhone
3:23
repair site known for previously posting
3:25
leaked images has posted another hinting
3:27
at the next generation of the phone
3:29
having a glowing Apple logo on the back
3:31
now I'll say the glowing apple on
3:33
MacBooks is one of the things that made
3:34
me fall in love with Apple at first and
3:36
i' love to see this come true when the
3:38
phone is rumored to release this fall
3:40
would you like your iPhone to have that
3:41
extra glow Well for now we'll just have
3:43
to see how it all pans
3:45
out there you have it a big week of news
3:48
