hey everyone today I'm going to show you

how you can bring the coated sidebar

icons back to the finder in Mac OS 10

line so for everybody that's use Lyon

you'll know that when you go into finder

and you look on the sidebar all your

icons are this gray color and while

they're essentially the same icons that

you saw in Snow Leopard and previous

releases they're no longer colorful and

bright like they were in the past and

there's quite a few people in the Mac

os10 community who do not like this

change along with some of the other

graphical changes with Lyon so I'm going

to show you how you can restore these

patterns to be colorful like they used

to need to download two different things

and the first thing you're going to have

to download is symbol now symbol is a

simple bundle loader and all it really

does is it enables plug-ins for

different applications within OS ten so

you have to do is select the symbol

download and they'll both download

and go into your downloads folder where

select is the symbol folder and you can

open that up and right here you'll see

gonna want to open that up to go through

the installation process for symbol so

in the folder as well next thing you're

going to want to do is open up colorful

sidebar one put on with a DMV and that

will pop right open and from there

you're going to see this colorful

sidebar bundle file so in a separate

Finder window you're going to want to go

to Macintosh HD then a library then

application support and then scroll down

to symbol and from there there will be a

plugins folder and from here I'm just

going to hit command C to copy the

colorful sidebar dad bundle and I'm

going to paste it right into the plugins

folder and now you can close up both of

these Finder windows and you're almost

done the next thing I'm going to have to

do is restart finder now the easiest way

to do this is open up a new Finder

window going into Macintosh HD the

applications folder and then scroll down

to utilities and open up the terminal

internal all you have to do is type kill

off as one word space capital F finder

in hit enter finder will quit itself and

it will open back up and if you look on

your left hand sidebar you'll see that
