hey everyone a from Elijah Gadget Hunter
0:08
here at macworld 2013 cult amac.com and
0:11
I'm here with Michael we're going be
0:12
talking about the Fujitsu scans snap 500
0:15
a really neat a Really Neat scanner that
0:17
lets you just toss a bunch of documents
0:19
into it business cards fulls siiz paper
0:21
all these different Siz things and then
0:23
it scans all of them and digitize them
0:25
for you right helps you declutter that
0:26
desk that you have all that stuff piled
0:28
up on that's exactly it you know we'
0:29
bought got too much clutter in our lives
0:31
and we don't want to have to deal with
0:32
this clutter all the time so this is a
0:33
great way to get all that paperwork get
0:35
it digitized into either PDF or jbig
0:37
files and get it into our electronic
0:39
life so if you have a stack full of
0:41
business cards when you come home from
0:42
macell you toss them all in it digitizes
0:43
them and then you can actually organize
0:45
them into your contact book right that's
0:47
exactly right card minder software is
0:49
included with the the scan snap product
0:50
it automatically extracts the
0:52
information off the cards puts it into
0:53
editable fields and you can push it off
0:54
to address book or or uh you know
0:57
Salesforce or whatever you need to send
0:58
it to now the this SC snap is one of The
1:01
Cadillacs of the scanners out there and
1:03
this is your new model why don't you to
1:04
tell us a little bit about what's
1:05
different with this model as opposed to
1:07
the other generation sure well what what
1:09
people know scans have to be is easy to
1:10
use you put the documents in you push
1:12
the button it automatically scans the
1:13
documents rotates them removes blank
1:15
pages props and DCS all that
1:17
automatically does that to your Mac
1:19
today but we have a new feature called
1:20
pess scanning which basically allows you
1:23
to scan to your mobile device your
1:24
iPhones or your iPads doing it
1:26
wirelessly right from the device so
1:28
there's a new uh app application called
1:30
scan snap connect it's on iTunes it's
1:32
for free and it's got all the
1:33
intelligent image collection built into
1:35
it you literally launch it press the
1:37
scan button and it scans the documents
1:38
right into your mobile device and then
1:40
from there you can disposition it out to
1:41
Evernote Dropbox whatever you've got led
1:43
up on your on your mobile device now you
1:45
guys told we we were talking earlier and
1:46
you told me this had some magic sauce
1:48
built in as far as pulling documents in
1:50
because you can toss in all these
1:51
different Siz documents as I mentioned
1:53
and it pulls all those through without
1:54
jamming which is kind of a a feature
1:56
that your scanner has a lot of them
1:58
don't have correct that's right you're
1:59
hit on a very key attribute so the scans
2:01
snap is500 has what we call separation
2:03
roller technology it's actually a geard
2:05
driven roller inside of it that controls
2:07
all of the documents going through
2:09
making sure that only one sheet goes
2:10
through at a time we've all heard about
2:12
double feeds and jams and this gets in
2:13
the way of people being productive this
2:15
scanner has dedicated technology to make
2:17
sure only one sheet goes through at a
2:19
time and that's really important because
2:20
this scanner is 25 pages per minute
2:22
that's 50 images per minute double sided
2:24
so that's a very fast scanner you need a
2:26
reliable separation technology to make
2:27
sure just one shot sheet goes through it
2:29
a Time
2:30
y I love your pitch on this this is
2:32
great so this is available now right and
2:33
how much is it $4.95 available today and
2:36
