Lose your iPhone much? You can use its ping feature to find your lost precious with an audible sound, and even
0:28
a flashing LED if you need it. Here's how. Raise your Apple Watch and press the digital crown until you're at the watch face
0:34
Swipe up from the bottom to activate glances. Swipe across to the left until you see the glance with airplane mode, do not disturb
0:41
and notifications. Tap on the lower left icon on that glance, which looks like an iPhone with sound lines
0:47
either side of it. This will then ping your iPhone, which will emit a pinging sound
0:51
If you're in a dark room, you can also make your iPhone's LED flash strobe to help you
0:55
find it. To do this, follow the previous steps, but instead of tapping the ping button, hold it down
1:01
Your iPhone's flash will get into the act. Heck, it even works if your iPhone is on silent mode
1:07
You can of course check the status of your Apple Watch battery on your wrist, but it's
1:12
even easier to discover how much Apple Watch juice you have left right from your iPhone
1:17
Just swipe down from the top of your iPhone screen to invoke the notification centre
1:21
If you're not already on the today tab, tap it to the top of your screen
1:25
If all is set up correctly, you should see the list of connected devices and their battery
1:28
levels at the top. If not, swipe all the way down to the bottom, tap edit and find batteries in the do not
1:34
include section. Tap on the green plus symbol to the left of the batteries and then use the three horizontal
1:39
lines to drag the batteries to the top of your list. Of course, you can do this the other way around
1:47
Using a third party app, you can check the battery life of your iPhone on your Apple Watch
1:51
There are a number of apps that do this, but power is one of the best
1:55
Install the app on the App Store using your iPhone. Then launch the Apple Watch app and find power in the list of apps and then tap on it
2:02
Enable both options for show app on Apple Watch and show in glances
2:06
If you want, you can scroll back up to the glances and place power in the position you'd like
2:14
If you're looking to meet up with a buddy, the Apple Watch lets you send your exact location
2:17
to anyone with iMessage without ever having to pull your iPhone out of your pocket
2:22
Raise your watch and press the digital crown. Tap on the messages app icon and then tap into a messages conversation
2:28
Next, do a force touch press on the conversation screen. A little menu will pop up with a reply, details and send location button
2:35
It's this latter one you'll need to tap. When you do, your current location as defined by your iPhone's GPS will go to the recipients
2:41
you're conversing with. If you've got a slew of notifications and don't want to be swipe tapping them away one
2:47
at a time, all you need to do is force touch on the notification screen
2:51
This will bring up a clear all button. Simply tap on that button and your long list of notifications will disappear ready for
2:57
the next round. Might as well get those wrist tunes on the big screen right
