It will be a few weeks before you can thumb through our salute to Apple fans, The Cult of Mac, 2nd Edition. So we’ll do it for you in a promo video that offers a sneak peek at the book’s clever design.

The Mac book designed to look like a MacBook hits store shelves on Dec. 17 and is available for preorder today on Amazon.

Published by No Starch Press, the book serves up a coffee-table collection of fresh stories by authors Leander Kahney and David Pierini. The book looks at Apple’s continuing profound impact on creativity and popular culture.

The Cult of Mac, 2nd Edition

In The Cult of Mac, 2nd Edition, you’ll find profiles of some of Apple’s more obsessed devotees from around the world. These are Cupertino’s self-appointed evangelists.

In the book, you’ll meet collectors who spend thousands of dollars on vintage Apple computers. You’ll learn the story of the Ukrainian man whose business began as a side hustle gold-plating iPhones in his garage. And you’ll get the scoop on illusions from a German magician who made a career performing tricks using an iPad.

There’s even a section on the proud bearers of Steve Jobs tattoos. If the Virgin Mary is the world’s most popular tattoo, you might think Jobs’ face is catching up.
