Apple began offering 4G-enabled smartwatches last fall, but it seems people don’t return them very often. It’s taken this long to build up a large enough supply of refurbished Apple Watch LTE units that they can finally be offered to the public.

Those who don’t mind a refurb can get this wearable at 15 percent off the regular price.

It’s not a big risk. Apple promises “We test and certify all Apple refurbished products and include a 1-year warranty.” And the company doesn’t skimp on the details. Even refurbs come with a magnetic charging cable and a new white box.

The Apple Watch propelled Apple at the top of the wearables market. An analyst recently credited the 4G version with keeping Apple ahead of its competitors during the first three months of this year.

Apple Watch LTE Supplies are limited

So few get returned that, even now, the LTE-enabled Apple Watch is available in only one configuration: 42mm, space black, with black sport band. This version is $549, while a new unit is $100 more.

Those who don’t care about LTE have plenty of refurbished Apple Wartch Series 3 units to choose from. These are also 15 percent off the regular price.  For example, the 38mm-version of his wearable in silver, black, or pink can be had for $279, a $50 savings.

Refurbished Series 3 Apple smartwatches can be purchased from its website. The company specifically says that supplies are limited, so it’s possible it will run out. No one who actually orders one need worry, though. “Availability is guaranteed once we receive your full payment,” is Apple’s commitment.
