The long-awaited 0.5.0 update launched for the iOS version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. It’s loaded with new features, including the Miramar desert map with additional vehicles and weapons.

PUBG is a popular combat game available for a variety of platforms, with a mobile version for iPad and iPhone. It’s one of the top competitors for Fortnite.

A post on the official Twitter feed spells it everything added in the 0.5.0 update. There’s the aforementioned desert map, Progress Missions, Secret Stash, Local Quick Teams, and more.

According to the more detailed release notes, players can now “collect progress rewards when you reach new levels, then take on new missions.”

The Secret Stash is “where you can purchase special discounted items,” according to the notes.

The quick team feature in PUBG Mobile 0.5.0 enables players to type in a 6-digit code and team up with nearby friends.

Some PUBG Mobile background

For those who are unfamiliar with this hot title, up to 100 players parachute down onto a sprawling map. There they collect all the weapons and gear they can get their hands on, while fighting to be the last alive.

PUBG Mobile 0.5.0 for iPad and iPhone is available now on the App Store. It’s free to download and play, but there are in-app purchases, naturally.
