People can talk about declining iPhone demand all the want, but when it comes to which tech products the general public want to see under their Christmas trees this year, there is no doubt about it: no brand can beat Apple.

Speaking with CNBC this Monday, Apple analyst Gene Munster shared his firm Piper Jaffray’s research into desired holiday gifts — and found that the iPhone, closely followed by the MacBook, beat other items including the Xbox, PlayStation, GoPro camera and more to land the top two positions in the list.

To be fair, Piper Jaffray’s list is of just 1,000 customers, and 2016 has been nothing if not a banner year for the perils of polling methodology.

With that said, provided that there is some truth to it, it’s a reminder that storms-in-teacups like the outrage over the MacBook Pro’s lack of ports, or the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack on the iPhone 7, don’t mean much to your typical customer — who continue to covet Apple products like there’s no tomorrow.

In all, it ended up  in a 10.3 percent increase in Apple versus previous years Piper Jaffray has run the same survey, with Apple proving particularly popular among teen customers.

Apple being a hot holiday brand is no great surprise. During Thanksgiving last week, U.S. retailer Target reported a record day of online sales, which even blew past their numbers for last year’s Cyber Monday event.

The biggest seller? The iPad, apparently, which doesn’t actually feature on Piper Jaffray’s report, but is also a highly sought-after holiday item.
