A new photo of Apple’s next-generation iPhone lineup all but confirms there will be an iPhone 7, an iPhone 7 Plus, and an iPhone 7 Pro. Only the latter will be blessed with a dual-lens camera and a Smart Connector, which means you’re going to have to pay a premium for them.
While earlier iPhone 7 rumors promised us a “Pro” model, which was said to be the same size as the 7 Plus but with an upgraded camera, more recent rumors told us the 5.5-inch iPhone would ship with a dual-lens camera as standard.
Now the photo above suggests Apple really is preparing three different iPhone 7 variants. We’ve all seen the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 with its larger camera lens countless times, while the iPhone 7 Plus looks just like a larger version — with the same camera.
That means you’ll have to upgrade to the iPhone 7 Pro for that fancy dual-lens camera, Smart Connector, and any other improvements Apple decides to pack in.
From the front, the 7 Pro looks exactly the same as the 7 Plus.

Of course, this is all based on the assumption these photos are genuine. A few things tell us we should be suspicious — like the strange lighting and shadows around the Smart Connector on that iPhone 7 Pro — so maybe we shouldn’t read too much into them just yet.
