Folding Cubicle Disguised As Fancy French Leather MacBook Case

LOLWUT?

Three letter ran through my mind the moment this photo of the LaFonction appeared on my screen: “W.T.F.” Then I pasted it into our Hipchat chatroom, where Killian said “Haha. WTF is that?!”

The answer? It’s a giant, €840 office-in-a-bag for your MacBook.

Have you ever felt like you needed to carry an entire office with you? Instead of just enjoying your MacBook’s absurdly long battery life and lightweight carry-anywhere form-factor, do you long for a heavy, bulky leather and felt cubicle which folds up into a bag? A cubicle complete with pockets on the walls, plus a flip-out flap to keep your wrists warm when working on a cold table, plus an extra pouch in which to keep your power cable?

Do you hanker for a portable office which can be easily slipped over the handle of your roll-along executive carry-on suitcase? Then the LaFonction is for you.

The case/cubicle/bag is beyond ridiculous. It’s like a school kid came up with a portable office and made it out of cardboard, and then a French craftsmen found the “design” and carefully translated it into leather and felted wool. God knows how much this thing weighs empty, let alone fully loaded, but this picture of it hanging from a normal-sized human gives you an idea of what a monster it is.
