Plants Vs. Zombies Gets New Mini-Games, Achievements & More In Major Update

Thought you'd done everything there is to do in Plants vs. Zombies? Think again.

Plants vs. Zombies has been a smash hit on iOS for well over two years now. But despite its age, developer PopCap is still adding new content. Its latest update is sure to put a smile on your face, adding a new game mode, new minigames, more achievements, and lots more.

Plants vs. Zombies version 1.9.2 hit the App Store today, and its biggest feature is undoubtedly its new Vasebreaker game mode. Vasebreaker is no longer just a mini-game, and now features 9 unique levels — one of which is free while the other 8 must be unlocked either using coins you earn while playing the game, or through in-app purchases.

iPad gamers will also get the Zen Garden and I, Zombie game modes, the last of which allows you to swap sides and join the undead, helping the other zombies get past the plants in 9 different levels.

There are also four new mini-games, including Slot Machine, Zombiquarium, Portal Combat, and Beghouled Twist, in addition to 28 new achievements that give you a great excuse to go back and play the entire game again. Finally, you can also enjoy Game Center leaderboards, and new languages, including French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
