my name is Kevin Brown I'm going to be
0:01
showing you the uh VOA Super Bowl
0:04
Edition iPad app social it's the uh
0:08
social TV companion for all of TV but
0:11
we're focusing on the Super Bowl today
0:13
okay so the idea is it's an app that you
0:14
have in your lab while you're watching
0:15
the Super Bowl exactly so it's it's the
0:18
app you're going to want to have it's
0:19
everything you want in one place so
0:21
let's talk a little bit about what you
0:22
can get here what you can see on either
0:25
of these sides here are the uh News
0:27
videos commercials halftime shows
0:30
chat Twitter really really cool stuff
0:33
it's bringing the social experience
0:35
really kind of a a party experience to
0:37
the iPad so you can uh you can go
0:40
through the news here and see all the
0:42
latest news um from ESPN and so on and
0:45
so forth about the game leading up to
0:47
the game if you really want to watch
0:49
like great past plays and things like
0:51
that we've got Packer highlights Steeler
0:54
highlights all right here on your iPad
0:56
you can watch it um full screen looks
0:58
great you can zoom down down through all
1:01
the greatest highlights of the season so
1:03
on and so forth um what I really love
1:06
personally is commercials the
1:08
commercials are the best part of the
1:09
game for me so what we've got here is
1:11
we've got um we've uh brought together
1:14
all the best Super Bowl commercials of
1:15
all time some of the band ones not going
1:18
to say those are my
1:19
favorites the uh the leak Super Bowl
1:22
commercials for this year and as they
1:24
air this year we're actually going to be
1:25
capturing them and putting them on so
1:28
very cool stuff there half Time Shows so
1:30
if you're really into the halftime shows
1:32
and I liked the who um that performed a
1:36
couple years back that was a great show
1:37
yeah it was a wonderful show um so I can
1:39
just go back and relive that and they've
1:41
got the all the videos here and the
1:43
who's actually the first one then let's
1:46
talk a little bit about the social side
1:48
we've actually built in a uh chat that's
1:51
entirely local you're talking to other
1:53
Vu users um but if you want want to
1:56
actually get out into the Twitter verse
1:58
you can go there and you can see all the
2:00
tweets about the Super Bowl you can
2:02
tweet yourself talk some smack um you
2:05
can also see what the experts are saying
2:07
the NFL experts and then what the NFL
2:10
players are saying which is really cool
2:11
the ones who aren't in the game you can
2:13
see how they say oh what a great hit so
2:15
on and so forth um you can also go into
2:18
the Facebook experience so we have the
2:20
fan pages for each of the two teams
2:22
Super Bowl page and the blacked pece who
2:24
are the halftime performers this year
2:26
that one a right on the walls Etc now
2:29
something that we're really excited
2:31
about is uh the fun stuff that's going
2:33
to be going on during the game okay so
2:35
during the game people can actually win
2:37
real world prizes like TVs iPads uh Etc
2:42
based on their um predictions about the
2:44
game the polls taken during the game
2:47
gambling um all the trivia Etc so you
2:50
get points you get badges lots of fun
2:52
stuff around that and then finally we
2:54
have some photos that we're actually
2:56
pulling in from flicker um so as people
2:59
are uploading from the ground you can
3:01
sit there and watch all these great
3:03
photos come in from uh at the game so
3:07
it's a really really cool uh experience
3:10
just sitting there and I'm going to
3:11
spend most of my time watching the
3:12
commercials I think yeah okay but as
3:14
you're watching the game little polls
3:16
will pop up games will pop up and you
3:18
can sit here and you know play with your
3:20
friend actually there's a a great other
3:23
element of this which is the um 10x10
3:26
pool so if you've ever been to a Super
3:28
Bowl party uh you actually set up a pool
3:31
with your friends and you can um just
3:35
play there it's a it's kind of a bedding
3:36
pool that you do locally okay right um
3:39
so if you've ever played that game it's
3:41
it's a great party edition but if you're
3:43
going to be sitting at home watching the
3:44
game this is this is the best way to do
3:46
it and the best part of all this is that
3:49
after the Super Bowl they're going to be
3:50
bringing it to all of TV so oh cool okay
3:53
and so uh you find this on the on the
3:54
iTunes Store yes it's VOA so it's v l a
3:58
and it's uh free or it's free okay cool
4:01
completely free great all right nice one
4:03
good job thank you
