okay I'm here with David Berard at mwell
0:02
ield and David is one of the earliest
0:04
app developers he had a big hit early on
0:05
with gas cubby when the App Store first
0:07
launched um uh but uh you know you got
0:10
to keep it coming right got to keep the
0:11
hits coming yeah I got to keep working
0:12
so gas cubby did well for a while and we
0:14
just keep working on new apps and um you
0:16
know hoping people get excited about him
0:17
right so David's got a new app today
0:18
called Len it just uh is in the top 100
0:21
which is a big deal yeah yeah just hit
0:23
number uh last time I checked it was
0:24
number uh 88 in the app store which is
0:26
huge for us it's been years since we've
0:27
had one uh Crest in the top 100 so we're
0:30
really excited you make a couple of
0:31
grand today or something like that
0:32
probably maybe even a little more but
0:34
you know tomorrow it may make five bucks
0:35
so that's kind of the way the App Store
0:36
rolls all right well let's do it then
0:37
can you show it to us yeah sure so uh
0:39
the app is called launch
0:40
Center and uh one of the one of the big
0:43
use cases is I text my wife you know
0:45
probably 10 times a day so in order to
0:47
text my wife I launched the messages app
0:50
now I've been texting Justin a friend of
0:51
mine well so now I got to go back to
0:53
messages now I got to hit new and then I
0:55
got to find her name right yeah so it
0:58
takes so long so we launch CER and I've
1:00
got it here in my dock um is I created a
1:03
shortcut so now all I do is launch
1:04
launch Center and um and hit message my
1:08
wife and there you go boom and so it's
1:10
it's super fast you can create uh launch
1:13
apps and do all sorts of stuff and
1:14
what's really cool is you can even
1:16
schedule notifications so like uh let's
1:18
say you visit the Drudge Report every
1:19
morning uh you set it up Drudge Report
1:22
The Drudge Report it back oh of
1:25
course um and then you can schedule it
1:27
so you can schedule it for uh you know
1:29
tomorrow morning morning in the a.m. and
1:31
then when you wake up in the morning
1:32
there'll be a little notification in
1:34
your lock screen and you just swipe that
1:36
it takes you right to the site so it's a
1:37
really handy way to get shortcuts and
1:39
schedule phone calls and things like
1:40
that so you know if you set a calendar
1:42
reminder then you still got to go launch
1:44
the app and find the contact and do all
1:46
that instead it's like I have a call at
1:47
5:00 with Bob well as soon as you swipe
1:50
the notification you're calling Bob so
1:51
it's a really handy way to uh schedule
1:53
shortcuts and and get around your iPhone
1:55
cool all right yeah it looks really
1:56
useful I it looks like a nice up we'll
1:58
definitely have to check it out thanks a
1:59
lot David at it
