It's sort of like going halfway from case to caseless.

When I first saw Nomad’s brand-new Magnetic Leather Back for the iPhone 15 Pro series, I thought, what is this, like a thong for iPhone?

Well, it’s what its name describes, a partial case. And it’s for those who wish their handset was naked, but they can’t bring themselves to strip it completely.

Nomad Magnetic Leather Back for iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max

Nomad said the new ultra-thin and precision-cut Magnetic Leather Back “maintains the look and feel of your iPhone while giving it a sleek and sophisticated leather look.” The handsome leather accessory is made for anyone who’d love to go caseless — aka “naked” or “nude” — with their iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max, but doesn’t quite dare. And it’s for folks who like the look and feel of leather, of course.

You just affix it to the back of your handset. The soft microfiber underside firmly sticks to your phone through microsuction patches, Nomad said, and it comes off with a snap. Made with Horween leather, the partial case does indeed look sleek, and it should develop a patina over time.

The case back’s integrated array of neodymium magnets helps enable fast charging and compatibility with MagSafe chargers and accessories.

Nomad notes in it FAQ that Magnetic Leather Back doesn’t protect from drops but it can prevent scratches.

Features:

  • Horween leather from Chicago
  • Develops a rugged patina
  • Magnetic MagSafe and microsuction attachment
  • Raised protective camera ring
  • Compatible with MagSafe and wireless charging

You can get Magnetic Leather Back for iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max in black or brown colors.
