Photos of Apple’s unreleased dual USB-C charger with a total output of 35W have surfaced online. The images show the adapter will have a compact design with foldable electrical prongs and two USB-C ports located side by side.
It will also feature two circular indents on both sides that should aid with grip when removing the charger from a power outlet.
Dual USB-C port charger with an unusual layout
The leaked photos surface just days after the charging accessory was first spotted in Apple’s own support document.
Similar power adapters with dual USB-C ports are already available in the market. However, the Cupertino company’s upcoming charger has an unusual layout as the ports are located side-by-side. In fact, the design is similar to the 20W USB-C power adapter with foldable prongs that Apple sells in the UK.
#Apple is planning to release its first 35W dual USB-C charger.#ChargerLAB got the leaked pics of it. It adopts foldable prongs, and unlike other chargers, two USB-C ports are side by side.

The charger will seemingly use gallium nitride to keep its size in check. The foldable prongs further help as they will make the charger easy to carry around. It will also be the first power adapter from Apple to feature dual USB-C ports — the company currently sells single-port USB-C power adapters with up to 140W output.
Enough power to charge your iPhone and iPad at once
While 35W output might not seem like much, it will be enough to fast charge an iPhone and an Apple Watch or AirPods. It can also supply enough juice to charge a MacBook Air or simultaneously charge an iPhone and iPad or multiple iPhones. For more powerful devices like the 2021 MacBook Pros, the charger will only be good enough to trickle charge them.
Given the leaked images and that the power adapter has appeared in Apple’s support document, it should release sometime later this year.
