Your shiny new Apple Watch Series 4 is finally on your wrist. What are you going to do with your old one?

It might seem like a relic now, but it’s probably still worth a small fortune — if you sell it properly. Here’s how to get the best price for your old Apple Watch.

First off, if you’re looking to buy a stunning new Apple Watch Series 4 and want to trade in your old Apple watch, you should check out Apple’s GiveBack program. As of this morning, it was offering an almost ridiculously high $225 in store credit for a 42mm Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE in great condition. That’s without the charger or band.

As a reference, that exact watch is on sale at Target right now for just over $320. So Apple’s price is almost too good to be true — and we’re guessing it won’t last as prices for older models fall.

Unfortunately, because the GiveBack program requires that you enter your device’s serial number, we can’t check how much Apple pays for various models.

Also, you only get that quoted buyback price in Apple store credit. So if you want cash, Apple’s GiveBack program won’t work for you.

Get cash for your Apple Watch

If it’s money you want, you will need to look elsewhere.

You could sell your old Apple Watch on eBay or Craigslist. Or you could use a buyback service like Gazelle. But these services require time and effort, or they only pay a fraction of what your Apple Watch is really worth.

To make good money and fast, you’re better off selling your Apple Watch to Cult of Mac.

Cult of Mac pays more than anyone else!

We’ve teamed up with the folks at MyPhones Unlimited to ensure our readers get the best price for their old Apple Watch. We typically pay more than Amazon, GameStop, Gazelle, and others — and we make the process quick and simple.
