The console-quality, Zelda-inspired game Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas was one of the best original games in ages when it hit iOS late last year.

Based on the amazing feedback that game deservedly scooped up, developers FDG Entertainment and Cornfox & Bros. have just dropped a brand new victory lap trailer hyping what looks to be an epic “Game of the Year Edition” update the team is currently working on.

FDG is claiming that there will be up to 4 more hours of additional content to play through in the update (note: the original lasted 10 hours, so this is 40 percent as long again.) They also note that the game will allow you to “revisit … old friends” and break the curse of an all-new island called the Isand of Whispers, as well as letting you explore the previously unseen mort in search for Cursed Skulls.

On top of that, there’s set to be dynamic weather effects, improved graphics and animation, anti-aliasing and 64-bit support for iPhone 5s, Finnish language localisation, and a tremendous fishing game, which is briefly previewed at the end of the new trailer. The trailer can be seen below, and is narrated by various YouTubers and Let’s Players who were blown away by the original game’s quality:

For those who haven’t had the pleasure of playing Oceanhorn, the premium game (which gloriously features absolutely no in-app purchases) can be downloaded from the App Store for $8.99, available for iOS devices running iOS 5.0 and above.
