Apple Brings “12 Days Of Gifts” App To U.S. Customers For The First Time

Christmas

Apple has been doing its “12 Days of Christmas” promotion for a few years now — offering iOS users a bit of Yuletide cheer in the form of free videos, songs, games, books and apps.

Strangely, while this promotion has spread Cupertino Christmas wishes to those as far away as those in Europe, Canada and Japan, it has never before been available to U.S. customers.

That is all changing this year, with the re-named “12 Days of Gifts” (because why not get straight to the point?) giveaway now available to those iOS7 iPhone and iPad users in North America, Europe, Russia, Japan, and other territories.

12 Days of Gifts can be downloaded today and can be set to ping you with new notifications whenever fresh gifts are made available.

No clues yet as to what freebies Apple will be handing out — and these will vary from country to country — but previous years saw giveaways of games including Score! Classic Goals, Broken Sword, and Sonic Jump, episodes of TV series like Sherlock and How I Met Your Mother, classic movies such as Chaplin’s Modern Times, and music videos and tracks from One Direction, Kesha, and Maroon 5.

The season of giving and downloading will begin on December 26 and run through January 6.
