Blizzard Announces Diablo III Release Date For Mac & PC

Get out of my way, chumps, I've got to get home to play Diablo III!

Oh Lord, after a dozen years, it’s finally come: Blizzard Entertainment has finally slapped a release date on their much-anticipated horror and fantasy themed hack-and-slash RPG, Diablo III. And that magic date?

May 15th. According to a press release, “Starting that day, gamers with a thirst for fast-paced action and adventure will be able to purchase Diablo III at retailers throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. In addition, gamers in the regions above as well as in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil will be able to buy Diablo III digitally via Blizzard’s Battle.net® website.”

Blizzard can just lift my wallet out of my pocket and take my $60 out now. I lived a year of my life in the world of Diablo II as everything from a whirlwind barbarian to a trapsassin, and I expect I won’t lay Diablo III to rest until I am a gelid blob of albino flesh and my girlfriend has dumped me.

What about you? Are you psyched for Diablo III? And who’s up for some multiplayer?

Marcelo, you can preorder Diablo on Blizzards website, even download it now, so when they release (open) the game servers on May 15 you can play it instantly.
