hey everyone aan Elijah here Gadget
0:08
Hunter here with camac and I'm here
0:11
going to be talking with Sten about the
0:13
Vivo play now it's kind of a watch
0:15
looking thing but it's actually a cell
0:17
phone and when he was first describing
0:19
it to me it kind of sounds like those
0:20
digital or those leashes that you see
0:21
people have their kids on and they're
0:23
like pulling them around those look
0:25
funny right I actually think they're
0:26
awesome but this is like a digital
0:27
version of that uh sten's going to tell
0:29
us a little bit about about this this is
0:30
going to be really handy for you parents
0:31
with toddlers out there St hi nice to
0:34
meet you so this is the Vivo play it all
0:37
started three years ago when I lost
0:39
track of my son Philip in a shopping
0:40
mall so that was a horrifying experience
0:43
of course being a father uh when I dug
0:46
deeper I saw that there was actually no
0:48
product really designed for that purpose
0:50
out there so I could either buy a
0:52
smartphone or a GPS tracker now when you
0:55
say for that purpose you mean keeping
0:57
keeping track of your kid when you're
0:59
out and about yeah if it gets lost okay
1:01
yeah so we would really like then to
1:04
develop a product that could give us
1:06
both location indoor and outdoor as well
1:09
having the full phone capability so this
1:12
is what this product does it's a phone
1:15
you can from the application choose what
1:17
number you are allowed calling the
1:19
device and the device can call the same
1:21
number and we also manage to squeeze
1:23
three technology into the device for
1:26
location purpose GPS GSM and Wi-Fi
1:30
so it's kind of like a Dick Tracy watch
1:32
they can make calls that you specify
1:35
from from the watch to any phone that
1:37
you program into it correct that's
1:39
correct and then you can also use the
1:41
application which is an IOS app I'm
1:43
assuming it's an Android app too as well
1:45
to use GPS to actually track where your
1:48
child is yeah but not only GPS because
1:50
we had three different location
1:52
technology Wi-Fi GSM and GPS so we both
1:56
have indoor and outdoor coverage for the
1:58
location wow so it can be pretty
2:00
accurate I heard up to about 30 ft it
2:02
would pinpoint where they are yeah
2:04
depending on what technology it will use
2:06
so GPS is still the most accurate but
2:08
for example here we're in do so you have
2:10
no chance getting a GPS signal then it
2:13
will use Wi-Fi and tri triangulate based
2:15
on the Wi-Fi signal hotpots that you
2:16
find IND door I also heard that you
2:19
could set up like a Geo fence so if your
2:21
kid leaves a certain location it will
2:22
alert you yeah you can do that you can
2:24
set up to five different safe Zone in
2:26
the application and be alerted if they
2:29
are breached or even if the kids are
2:31
entering those zones as well and there's
2:33
a panic mode as well right yeah both
2:35
from the parents' phone and from from uh
2:38
from the device so you can push the red
2:40
button hold it for 3 second and what
2:43
will happen is it will start to call all
2:44
the number you have pre program and all
2:47
the number will also receive a broadcast
2:50
of the live location and it will also
2:52
start recording everything being said
2:53
around the device so we have the best
2:55
opportunity to figure out what has
2:57
happened wow sounds really useful um are
3:00
these available now they will be
3:02
available this summer we are now
3:03
starting very soon with a trial and a
3:06
pilot several places here in the US to
3:08
test product amongst the consumer to get
3:10
their feedback before we do the final
3:11
version of the product and start
3:13
shipping in summer fantastic so uh kind
3:16
of like a digital leash doesn't actually
3:18
have the leash on it but definitely just
3:19
as cool sounds like the digital leash of
3:21
the New Millennium this has been the
3:23
Vivo play I'm Aon Elijah Gadget Hunter
