Yes, this image of an EDIT: unfortunately misidentified man in a hoodie eating a piece of toast might well be the first image ever uploaded to the Internet from an iPhone. Remember this moment — I’m sure your grandkids will ask you about where you were when you saw the first iPhone picture.

It came from a set of two that got posted to Flickr, got marked private and finally got deleted. The EXIF data is interesting, but could easily be fraudulent — this is editable stuff. Still, I like this story, because it involves toast. A second photo, along with the EXIF data, is posted after the jump.

The second photo below, which was also EXIFed as coming from an iPhone, is reputed to be from Alexander’s restaurant in Cupertino, very near to AppleHQ. That tip comes courtesy of MobileGuerilla reader YourMom. Anyone know for sure?

Umm, I think it is a man – he has stubble :)

  2. jeremy says:

    a WOMAN???

  3. joshwood says:

Are you sure that’s a woman? “She” seems to have somewhat of a 5 o’clock shadow going on, and possibly flat chested, it’s hard to discern from because of the hoodie. Also, really short fingernails and some really nasty, greasy hair. I think “she” is a male engineer that doesn’t care about the way he looks.

  4. pj says:

I think you’ll find that the stubble and lack of boobs suggest that top photo is one of a man (albiet with long hair)

Picture of a woman? Man are you on something or what? Thats a man not a woman. The guy has got shaved hair all over his face…. :-)

Anyway, I don’t get it, so whats the big deal if this one is actually a shot from iPhone. Pffftt…

  6. artech says:

In the first image it’s a man, not a woman. Don’t you see the shaved face?

  7. tonedef says:

ha ha if that is a woman like you suggest then thats is the ugliest woman ive ever seen. HE has stuble on HIS face.

I do hope this is a picture using a iPhone as its amazing quility but I doubt it.

  8. Chris says:

Er… that first picture is pretty clearly a guy. Stubble, jaw… you know the kind of thing.

  9. Conner says:

    Uh, it’s a guy.

But, yeah, I made the same mistake.

  10. Phil says:

The five o’clock shadow gave it away. Either that or “she” definitely needs some estrogen.

  11. garydavis says:

If you think that’s a woman, you need to get out more.

  12. juan says:

    i think thats a guy…check out the 5 o’clock shadow

Hah – interesting, I wonder if any more of these will get leaked to Flickr, and if the uploader will be discovered and canned (if the shot is real).
