If you do any kind of writing or sketching on your iPad, you should use a stylus. But you don’t need to spend $99 on an Apple Pencil. SonarPen is the affordable “smart pen” every iPad owner needs. It’s accurate, practical, and it never needs charging.

Apple Pencil gets rave reviews — and rightly so; it’s a wonderful stylus. But it’s expensive, only compatible with iPad Pro, and it’s not the only decent stylus available. SonarPen is a fraction of the cost, works with every iPad, and does more.

SonarPen is a stylus for everyone

SonarPen offers the accuracy of Apple Pencil, as well as features like pressure sensing and palm rejection. It plugs into your iPad’s headphone jack so that you never need to charge it, and it has a shortcut button that you can customize to quickly access your favourite features.

SonarPen’s magnetic holder lets you attach it to your iPad when it’s not in use, so you never have to worry about putting it down in a coffee shop and forgetting to pick it back up.

What’s really great about SonarPen is its price tag. Right now you can order yours on Kickstarter for just $25. When it makes its retail debut in June, it will cost just under $30. That’s less than a third of the price of Apple Pencil.

SonarPen has already surpassed its funding goal, with almost $40,000 raised and 29 days still to go. Be one of the first to get your hands on one by backing it through Kickstarter today.
