The holy grail of the home workout is something that you can get set up for quickly and easily, doesn’t require a lot of gear, and will only take as short a time as possible.

Wahoo Fitness thinks they have this down. The developer of the Wahoo 7 Minute Workout app has brought its science-based, high-intensity interval workout to your big screen via the Apple TV app store, so you can get your workout on quickly and easily.

The free app will also connect to Wahoo’s own TICKRx heart rate monitor and workout tracker to provide solid data when working out to the app on your Apple TV. The peripheral measures heart rate, calories, and even analyzes your form while it counts how many reps you can handle. The info is then displayed right on the screen through the Apple TV. This just might be the first Bluetooth heart rate monitor to connect right to the Apple TV.

“The TICKRx is Wahoo’s most advanced heart rate monitor and workout tracker,” said Chip Hawkins,
CEO of Wahoo Fitness. “When matched with Wahoo’s 7 Minute Workout app and the new Apple TV, it
provides simple, effective at-home training for time-starved consumers.”

Your seven minutes will typically consist of some combination of basic exercises, like jumping jacks, wall sits, push-ups, crunches, squats, leg raises, and the like

You can grab yourself the TICKRx ($50-$100, depending on feature set) at Apple Stores and online at Wahoo Fitness. The app (which includes an Apple Watch function as well) is free to download – either grab it in the iTunes App Store or search for 7 Minute Workout on your Apple TV.
