iLuv Shows Lightning Speaker Dock, But Do You Really Care? [CES 2013]

CES 2013 bug LAS VEGAS, CES 2013 – Lightning accessories for the iPhone are starting to show up at last, but who really wants a speaker dock anymore anyway? ILuv seems to think that somebody out there will buy one, and the result is this Aud 5 dock, a device which is fully CES-buzzword compliant.

It works like any old 30-pin dock, only it’s way easier to get the iPhone in and out than it ever was with Apple’s unbelievably crappy 30-pin dock connector. Features? “Full Digital Sound (?)”, “High-power acoustics” and an “elliptical passive radiator” will make sure you remain fully confused as you listen.

The Aud will be out in the second quarter of this year, for an as yet to be decided price. Or you can just do what many other companies are doing, and ditching proprietary connectors in favor of everything-friendly Bluetooth. It even works with Android! (not that any Android owners would actually pay for a speaker).
