After some feedback on last week’s post, we’ve decided that this week we’re going to split up apps & games and give you a dedicated post for each.

So here’s are a few of our favorite games; check them out after the break!

Monster Dash($0.99) iPhone – Games

From the creators of the popular iOS game, Fruit Ninja, comes an exciting world-hopping adventure that’s so addictive you’ll be fixed to your iPhone for hours. You play Barry Steakfries; a man on a mission to run as far as he can without falling to his death or being eaten along the way. Pickup new guns and health along the way and blast your way through demons with the submachine gun, the electrifying ‘Mr. Zappy,’ and the machine gun jet pack. Think of Monster Dash as Canabalt with guns and mummies. Portals take you from one glorious world to another; each of which are beautifully designed and look fantastic.The further you run, the higher your score. Monster Dash is the perfect pick-up-and-play game that is simple, but incredibly fun. A bargain at $0.99!

Archetype HD($4.99) iPad – Games

The most intense online FPS for iOS if now available in HD for the iPad and the creators claim it’s never looked so good. Take part in intense 5-on-5 online multiplayer combat across 5 maps with 6 different weapons. Rank up by earning XP and challenge your buddies to an online duel. The redesigned HUD takes advantage of the iPad’s larger screen and makes for more efficient combat, while the dual-controls are somewhat easier to use on the larger device. If you’re a fan of Archetype on your iPhone, you won’t be disappointed by its bigger brother.

Jaws($2.99) iPhone – Games

The official game based on the terrifying blockbuster. You play police chief Martin Brody and your job is to keep the waters of Amity Island safe. Respond to numerous distress calls from around the island and rescue swimmers before they become dinner. Jaws features 10 stunning levels that are increasingly challenging. The intuitive touch-controls require you to flick and drag swimmers to beaches and boats before the 25-foot long shark eats them alive. Jaws is a progressively exciting game that Touch Arcade describes as “a cause for celebration.”

Monorace($1.99) iPhone – Games

Get on your Monobike and enjoy 40 levels of this fast-paced 2D side-scrolling racer. Choose from 3 characters, each with unique strengths, and get ready for for some seriously fun action with Monorace. The controls are simple; tap the screen to turn gravity on or off and dodge the traps and obstacles that will slow you down. Go as fast as you can and get to the finish line in the shortest possible time to collect as many starts as possible. Collecting stars unlocks new tracks that get more intense and exciting as your progress. There’s also a randomly generated never-ending mode where in which the objective is to go as far as you can. OpenFeint integration means you can upload your high scores to the online leader-board, compete with your friends and unlock challenges. Lots of addictive gameplay that’s sure to keep your entertained for hours. Check out the video above for to see some gameplay!

Zombie Flick($1.99) iPhone – Games

The makers of Deadball Specialist bring you another finger-flicking game in which you launch a range of household objects at the masses of zombies that come at you in an attempt to survive. Set in the 1970s, an incurable virus has spread through mainland America and as the only survivor, it’s down to you to keep the brain-munchers at bay. There are 3 stunning environments that are optimized for the iPhone 4’s Retina display and show off the blood spilling gore in all its glory. There are 4 difficulty modes to choose from in survival, as well as a last stand mode. Ricochet your missile to take out multiple zombie in a row for an x-rated killstreak, then activate slow motion to see your gruesome decapitation in full detail!
