That’s the best deal we’ve seen for this pay-as-you-go app. i-HOOT allows you to make international phone calls through your existing phone number for as low as 2 cents per minute. Note that it may use some of your existing service plan’s domestic minutes.
Expercom offers the Apple iMac Intel Core i7 2.8GHz 27″ Desktop, model no. MC507LL/A, with three years of AppleCare for $1,699. With shipping around $22, that’s $147 less than what Apple charges for a refurbished system with AppleCare, this one is new. With about $35 for shipping, that’s the lowest total price we’ve seen for an 8-core version of this model and it’s $333 under the best deal we could find for any new 8-core Mac Pro. The system features two Intel Xeon 5300 3GHz quad-core processors, 4GB RAM, dual hard drives (500GB and 250GB), dual-layer DVD burner, and more. The software bundle includes Adobe Photoshop Elements 8, StuffIt Deluxe 2010 , and more. Of note, a 30-day warranty applies, although it’s unclear who backs it.
