Keeping Time with Dead Power Mac G5

Keeping Time with Dead Power Mac G5
Even when they’re dead, Apple products are still timely  — like the iPod clock or the G4 timepiece.

Here’s a nice step-by-step transformation of a defunct Power Mac G5 into a sleek wall clock.

It’s the handiwork of Japanese Apple fan NOBON — the same one who “printed” Fuji apples with the Apple logo.

I’d like one of those. Infact id like a Mac Pro full stop. iMac will do for now.

I’ll have to crack mine open to check, but you can probably do this, or something very much like it, with a _working_ G5. The only thing in the way is the clear plastic blast shield (or whatever that thing is called). Cut a small hole in it, or just shove the case cover down. It might work.

you can do this without the g5, then you don’t have to remind yourself what a pissoff lousy deal the g5 was.
