Don’t use flash, but if you often must, get a nice flash diffuser – Most camera flashes will make your photos look washed out, too bright, or both. A flash diffuser can help though. A flash diffuser is usually a white or milky colored piece of plastic or cloth that fits over your flash. Diffusers work by spreading the harsh, direct light most flashes emit into a broad, diffused, pleasant light. If you must use flash, a flash diffuser will allow you to do so while still capturing a good looking photo.
