The Apple Store Is Down – Got Any Bets On What It Could Be?

I’m *pretty* sure it says, “We’ll be back.”

The Apple store is down on Apple’s website, which typically happens when a new product is about to come online and be sold to the public. With the iPad Mini all but confirmed to be released at a separate event, and the iPhone 5 a semi-distant last-week memory, chances are this is a simple update or change. Maybe a simple speed bump for one of the Mac computers? The iMac, perhaps?

Of course, the fan boy in me really wants it to be something super cool, so I’m asking you all here to jump in with your wildest fantasy of why the Apple store is down. Ready? Go!

Today is now the anniversary of Steve Jobs’ passing. Perhaps it is more of a site update in commemoration, rather than a product update.

Steve Jobs’ passing? It’s been a year today (10/05). If it was the iPad Mini would it not be a slap in the face to Jobs considering his view on how perfect the size of the original is?

It surely could be getting ready for the anniversary of his passing, which is tomorrow, Cupertino time. There are some reports that he had been convinced, at least slightly, on the potential of a smaller iPad device.

I hope it’s some sexy photos of Mr. Jobs. Or, at the least, Woz.

The new IMAC, I bet your money on it :) All the stores stopped ordering the ‘current’ 27″ 2-3 weeks ago. The only question is will the new one have retina display. In my opinion… it will.

Store is back up. Am I missing something notable? I see nothing new.

What I’d really like to see are official, Apple upgrades for exisisting MacPros.

Only thing I see as new are price adjustments and a tab on the bottom left called Refurbushed.

I could see him going for it based on profits for sure, he had to of known the market for a tablet at that price, and with Apple quality, was larger than anything anyone could imagine.
