ThinkGeek is celebrating this year’s Black Friday event by slashing the price of its popular iCade arcade cabinet for the iPad. The accessory would make the perfect Christmas gift for iPad owners who love retro gaming, and for a limited time only, it’s down from $99.99 to just $59.99.

The iCade started out as an April Fools’ Day hoax by the guys over at ThinkGeek, but when they realized just how popular the device would be amongst iPad gamers, it went into production and was released earlier this year.

The list of games compatible with the unit has been steadily growing since its release, and TouchArcade has a fantastic list of titles that currently feature iCade support.

This is the first time ThinkGeek has reduced the price of the iCade since its release, so I wouldn’t expect it to get cheaper than this anytime soon. Also, it’s worth noting that these things were very limited in supply at one point, so if you want to grab one at just $60, you might want to get in quick.

In addition to its iCade, ThinkGeek has also reduced the price of its Joystick-It iPad joystick. That’s now just $8.99 for a limited time, as opposed to $24.99.
