Would You Like a Free eBook From the iBookstore With That Starbucks Latte?
Thanks to the success of the Starbucks App Store ‘Pick of the Week’ promotion, Starbucks has announced that it will also be offering free eBook Picks of the Week in a partnership with iTunes and the iBookstore.
The first pick is Erin Morgenstern’s The Night Circus, currently available for $12.99 in the iBookstore. Like the App Store promotion, Starbucks customers will be able to pick up a free eBook promotion code off a card available at the register after purchasing.
With the success of this particular Starbucks promotion, it’s clear that the company is on to something. Perhaps one day we’ll be able to walk into Starbucks and get a free movie with a coffee. That would help offset the $5 drink price.

Update: We’re hearing that Starbucks is only offering extended previews of eBooks, not the whole enchilada. Shame.
