The fourth beta for WatchOS 2.2 adds cool new features that work with the latest version of iOS 9.3
0:07
In this video, I'll quickly show you everything the software update, which is currently available to developers for beta testing, has to offer
0:15
Let's get started. After playing around with the Apple Watch, we found an updated Maps application
0:22
with a new Nearby Search feature that will help you find things like restaurants close to your current location
0:29
WatchOS 2.2 can now also instantly navigate to your home or your place of work
0:34
And that's the most interesting update in WatchOS 2.2 beta 4. But Apple's release notes for the update reveal that the new software also fixes some bugs
0:44
within the Apple Watch's Settings app and improves WatchKit and Xcode for developers who create apps for the wearable
0:51
It's all part of Apple's continuing push to make the Watch even more powerful and useful
0:57
By polishing its own apps and by giving developers even better tools to work with
1:01
Other new WatchOS 2.2 features, which were rolled out in previous betas
1:05
include the ability to pair multiple Apple Watches to your iPhone if, for some reason, you want to copy Justin Bieber and Wear 2 at the same time
1:14
Joking aside, if you're lucky enough to own more than one Apple Watch, you now don't have to spend time pairing and unpairing your wearables
1:21
Plus, if you're a developer, this can make life a whole lot easier
1:25
WatchOS 2.2 is rumoured to be released to the public around the same time as iOS 9.3
1:31
at March's iPhone 5 SE and iPad Air event. But if you're too impatient to not update anything
1:38
you can download the iOS 9.3 public beta along with the latest OS X El Capitan beta
1:44
Or sign up for an Apple Development account. Let me know in the comments down below what features you would like to see added to WatchOS
