Hey, what's up guys, Stephen Cult of Mac here, and in this video we're taking a look at the
0:06
Pitaka Aramid Fibre iPhone 6s case. We'll be giving one away to a lucky viewer, so make sure to stick around to the end of
0:13
the video to find out how you can get your hands on this awesome case
0:17
So what exactly is a Pitaka Aramid Fibre case and why do you need one
0:21
Well, for starters, Aramid is a bulletproof material, although you won't be stopping too
0:25
many bullets with this case due to how thin it is. But that's exactly the point
0:29
At only 0.03mm thick and weighing in at 0.42oz, this is an incredibly tough case, up to 5
0:36
times stronger than steel at the same weight. When installed, it's so light it doesn't even feel like my iPhone has a case on it
0:43
What I like about this case is it's texture. It's tough to describe which isn't great for a video review, but it's very smooth and overall
0:49
just feels great in the hand. One potential downside given how thin it is, is that the volume buttons and camera hump
0:55
are both exposed. But this is kind of to be expected if you buy a lightweight case like this one
1:01
Okay, onto the main event. How tough is it? I've already said that you won't be stopping bullets with this, despite its material
1:07
But I've gone for the next best thing. A WE G18C Airsoft Pistol, which shoots 318ft per second
1:15
These probably won't be fatal if someone's shot with one, but airsoft guns like this
1:18
are forceful enough that they can shatter teeth. But what about an iPhone case
1:58
As you can see, it comes off pretty well. There are a couple of marks here and there on the case, but none of the BBs have passed
2:04
through it and the impact has been absorbed. The case at the end of the test is still completely usable
2:09
Of course, your iPhone probably won't go through this kind of stress test in real life, but
2:13
it shows that this is a pretty sturdy iPhone case. For just short of $40 for the iPhone 6s size, or $42 for the iPhone 6s Plus, it's also reasonably priced
2:24
Well, that's it for this video, but as I mentioned earlier, the guys over at Bataka are giving
2:28
you the chance to win one of these awesome cases. To enter, all you need to do is make sure you're subscribed to the Cult of Mac YouTube
