Reports are mounting that Apple is planning on launching the new version of Final Cut Pro as soon as next week. Following the leaked screenshots of Final Cut Pro X that hit the web last week, one Japanese blog now says that Apple will release its professional video production software as soon as next week.
According to Macotakara, Apple will release Final Cut Pro X on the Mac App Store next week costing $299, alongside some new Thunderbolt-equipped accessories that will launch on third-party vendors, specifically for use with Final Cut Pro X.
The timing’s right: Apple showed off Final Cut Pro X back in April, claiming it would be out in June. As an amateur, I’m more interested in what and when Final Cut Express will hit the Mac App Store, and what it will cost when it does.
