iTunes 10.6 Is Coming Today

It’s not available for download yet, but on Apple’s official iTunes page, there’s reference to iTunes 10.6… which it looks like we can expect to go live today.

And it’ll still be bloated, terrible, and the iTunes we know so well already.

Come on, Apple. Line for line code rewrite from the ground up. Intel-only. 64-bit only. Pure Cocoa.

I swear they do it just to push OSX. It’s much faster on a Mac than a PC. Shows how much they actually care about their customers, make a shitty bloated version for (probably) over half of them.

iTunes cannot be Intel-only as long as the iPhone 3GS is still for sale. On the box of the 3GS, it states the system requirements as “10.5.8″. This operating system was available to both PowerPC and Intel users. If they drop 10.5.8, there will be no way for 3GS owners to sync the phone even though the box states they support it. (False advertising).
