As originally noticed by iFans, NBC has finally updated its iPad app with the ability to watch full-length TV shows, including titles like The Office.

The app is free in the App Store, and the same content that’s available on NBC.com is also available on the iPad, thanks to the latest update.

BCC:

“Vivi Zigler, president, NBCUniversal Digital Entertainment, noted in an interview that the delay was not a technical issue but had to do with wanting to make sure the app “provided a good experience to the consumer and that we understood the business model. The portal [NBC.com] app has been performing well. The bugs are worked out and we felt like it was the right time to make them available in advance of the start of the fall season.”

NBC’s iPad app is pretty slick, but we wonder if consumers affiliate their favorite TV shows with certain networks so closely. Hulu seems like a much more streamlined method for keeping up to date with all of your favorite shows in one place. With the NBC app, you’re obviously limited to just NBC’s content.
