Each iDevice has a unique device identifier number. You can need your UDID for multiple reasons, including the beta testing of apps and other diagnostic processes.

We’ll show you how to quickly find your UDID.

Plug your iDevice into iTunes and click on it in the list of connected devices. In the Summary tap, you will see “Serial Number.” Click that area while also holding the Option key on your Mac. Your UDID will then be presented in an alphanumeric string.

You can copy and paste the number by hovering your mouse over the UDID and hitting Command + C. Your UDID will now be in your Mac’s clipboard.
