Steam has kicked off its autumn sale by reducing some of the best games for Mac by as much as 75%. The sale runs until November 26, and Steam will add new games each and every day. Some of the Mac titles kicking off the sale today include The Walking Dead, Civilization V, Borderlands 2, and many, many more.
With Halloween almost upon us, what better way to celebrate than to scare yourself silly with some of the most terrifying games the App Store has to offer? We’ve put together a selection of the best horror titles that will have you watching your back this October 31, with some big hits like Walking Dead, Rage HD, Dead Space, and more.
Halloween, or All Hallows’ Eve, has a tradition stretching back to the 15th century and earlier, though it is currently a more secular holiday, with children and the young at heart dressing up as everything from scary ghouls and monsters to the more tame video game characters or that bane of every feminist out there, the “sexy” nurse/librarian/pikachu/what have you.

Telltale Games announced today that iOS users can now download Episode Three of The Walking Dead: The Game, entitled “Long Road Ahead,” to their iPhone or iPad. It’s the third of five episodes in the critically acclaimed series based on Robert Kirkman’s zombie drama, The Walking Dead, which started as an award-winning comic book, then made its way to become a critically-acclaimed television series on AMC.
The Walking Dead: Episode Four – Around Every Corner is coming this month to Mac, PC, and consoles like PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Publisher Telltale Games promises only a short lag before the final episode is released, thereby capping the entire five episode series.
The video game is set in the same Walking Dead universe you know from the comic books and AMC television show, but follows different characters, including Lee Everett, the main protagonist for the episodes. The new trailer takes the cast, many of whom will change due to a persistent game system that forces players to live with their own tough choices in each episode. Who did you save? Who got killed? The survivors and mounting dead characters are your own fault, a result of your own heroism.
Telltale Games announced today that the third episode in The Walking Game video game, “Long Road Ahead,” will launch tomorrow on Mac, via digital game portal Steam of Telltale’s own website store. The adventure game will also be available on Xbox 360 and PC tomorrow as well, while PlayStation Network players can get it today, the lucky devils.
